External factors that lead to the failure of the industrial computer

Due to the influence of external factors during the use of the fanless industrial computer, it is easy to have one or another failure. If you do not understand the cause of the failure, it will lead to improper use, and it is easy to cause the service life of some original parts of the fanless industrial computer. The external factors that affect the normal operation of the industrial computer mainly include the following:
The ambient humidity is not suitable. The fanless industrial computer is mainly composed of integrated circuits of many electronic components, and its insulation performance has a great relationship with the ambient humidity. If the humidity is too high, it is easy to cause the circuit board to be short-circuited and burned; if the humidity is too low, it is easy to generate static electricity, and it will also break down some electronic components. It is required to have a good instrument grounding on the industrial computer. Therefore, if the humidity is too high or too low, it will bring potential threats to the fanless industrial computer.
The ground was in great vibration. In the automatic control system, the long-term, high-speed operation of the disk is easy to cause the disk's read and write ability to decline due to the disk vibration, slow head positioning, and even cause the disk to be damaged. In engineering design, keep the fanless embedded computers as far away as possible from the work site where the vibration source is large; if the work location cannot be changed, sponges and cushioning objects can also be placed under the industrial control cabinet and box to reduce the harm caused by vibration.
The temperature is not suitable. If the case temperature reaches 30 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the internal hard drive will reach 40 degrees or higher. You can simply DIR your own fanless embedded computers to reduce the ambient temperature.
1. Replace the high-power CPU and hard disk fan (the hard disk fan should be fixed, and should not be installed on the hard disk firmware frame to prevent the hard disk from vibrating due to the rotation of the fan) to speed up the heat dissipation;
2. Install a fan inside the chassis to draw air outside the chassis to increase air convection;
3. Install a small axial fan on the cabinet where the industrial computer is placed;
4. install air conditioners in the control room to reduce the space temperature.
The power supply voltage fluctuates greatly and is prone to power outages. With the rapid development of industry and life, the demand for electricity is also increasing day by day. In many areas, there are insufficient power supply, unstable voltage, and easy power outages. Unstable voltage and sudden power failure cause the system to restart frequently, and the system files are easily lost and cannot be started normally. Therefore, the stability of the power supply in the working environment of the fanless embedded computers is related to whether the industrial computer works normally or not. The regulated power supply and UPS uninterruptible power supply can be used for protection. The selection of specific equipment should be determined according to the size of the load power and the working time to be maintained.
There are many respirable particles in the air. Most of the raw materials in many factories require powder to be processed. In addition, the outside air flow is large and there is a lot of sand and dust. A large amount of sticky dust is easily accumulated in the fanless embedded computers, causing the local temperature in the industrial computer to be too high and causing hardware damage. This happens mostly around cooling fans such as CPUs, power supplies, hard drives, and graphics cards. In places with light dust accumulation, regular dust blowing can be used when normal production allows. In places with serious dust accumulation, dust filter gauze can be placed in the ventilation place of the industrial control chassis and cleaned regularly.
